How to Spring Clean Your Mind

Do you Spring clean? I have an analogy I want to share with you today.

Cleaning and organizing your mind is similar to cleaning out your closet – you can have a lot of junk in there that needs to be questioned, organized and put in it’s rightful place, or just thrown away.

Our brain is filled with thoughts – six thousand thoughts per day.

Some of these thoughts serve us, but others don’t. I like to think of them as the thoughts stuffed away at the back of the closet.

If they are causing unwanted emotion or stopping us from progressing, they need to be pulled into our consciousness so decisions can be made about them.

Think about a thought that causes you pain (like “I’m not good at managing money” or “My husband and I can’t get on the same page about our finances”) and ask yourself these three questions.

  1. What am I thinking?
  2. Is this thought serving me?
  3. Do I really want to keep it?

This management of your mind through conscious thought choices helps to create the results that you want.

I love this thought, “The gap between the life you want & the life you are living is called mindset, focus & consistency“.

Being organized (and being coached) is the best way to manage your mind at the highest level.

Focusing on our mindset is the key to creating the life and money results that we want.
